A recent NYP report highlights the latest development around Sam Bankman-Fried, the former billionaire and disgraced crypto entrepreneur, who surfaced in the first jailhouse photo alongside a former Bloods gang member at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, NY. The photograph, shared by crypto crime reporter Tiffany Fong, offers a glimpse into Bankman-Fried's life behind bars, capturing a moment around Christmas, approximately six weeks after his guilty verdict on all seven fraud and conspiracy charges linked to his failed crypto exchange, FTX.

In the image, Bankman-Fried, known for his shaggy hair and beard, is seen alongside G Lock, a former Bloods gang member, who was previously interviewed by Tiffany Fong. G Lock described Bankman-Fried as "a good guy," acknowledging his eccentricities but affirming his character. Interestingly, the photograph was taken during the limited window when inmates are allowed to be photographed, specifically around Christmas and Father's Day.

G Lock, who provided insights into Bankman-Fried's life behind bars, shared that the photo was taken at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on December 17. The incarcerated former billionaire was wearing an oversized T-shirt and gym shorts in the image. G Lock, in an interview with Fong, remarked on Bankman-Fried's physical transformation, noting his skinnier appearance compared to when they first met. The former gang member also highlighted changes in hygiene, stating that Bankman-Fried, initially clean-shaven, now sports a full beard and hasn't been showering.

Notably, Bankman-Fried's defense attorney, Mark Cohen, had previously stated in court that his client was subsisting on basic meals like bread, water, and occasionally peanut butter as the jail allegedly refused to provide him with vegan meals. G Lock's statements further shed light on the challenging conditions Bankman-Fried is reportedly facing behind bars.

G Lock asserted that despite the hardships, Bankman-Fried has not faced physical altercations with fellow inmates, stating, "nobody's beating him up." In a surprising turn, G Lock expressed his support for Bankman-Fried and called on President Biden to grant him a pardon. G Lock emphasized Bankman-Fried's resilience, referring to him as "more gangster than Tekashi69" and contrasting him with the rapper who cooperated with authorities, stating, "Sam Bankman stood on all ten toes."
