The recently embattled and heavily criticized BitcoinCash ABC team just announced a network upgrade to their blockchain to implement some new additions. These will include the addition of Schorr signatures.

In cryptography, a Schnorr signature is a digital signature produced by the Schnorr signature algorithm that was described by Claus Schnorr. It is a digital signature scheme known for its simplicity, among the first whose security is based on the intractability of certain discrete logarithm problems.

With Schnorr the Bitcoin ABC team also plans to add Segwit recovery transactions. This will supposedly allow for the recovery of coins sent to SegWit addresses. However, from what I understand, the recovery requests will be processed manually and the transactions will be done daily. So how this will all go down sounds a bit confusing.
